Rosebud is one of the largest beach-side commercial centres on the Mornington Peninsula, located between popular destinations of Rye and Dromana.  Rosebud fronts the southern side of Point Nepean Road and includes Port Phillip Plaza Shopping Centre.

Across this road and extending down to the beach foreshore are a number of attractive parks, reserves, sporting and community facilities.

The Rosebud Pier is situated opposite Jetty Road and extends around 300 metres into the bay. Rosebud enjoys clean sheltered beaches whilst wedged between the lower slopes of Arthurs Seat, the shores of Port Phillip and the plains of Boneo. It is a popular tourist resort with families who appreciate its sandy beaches and shallow waters.

A small journey south of Rosebud is Cape Schanck where a historic lighthouse crowns the rugged southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula. Cape Schanck provides visitors with an insight into the area’s maritime history, the beauty of rocky coastal features, unspoilt beaches, scenic walking tracks with ocean views, and easy access to surrounding golf courses.
